De Carrefour Corporate Foundation, opgericht in 2000, zet zich in voor de voedseltransitie, met een engagement gebaseerd op 3 pijlers: duurzame en solidaire landbouw, solidaire strijd tegen verspilling en maatschappelijk engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Met deze schenking kan Farming For Climate de Henricot Boerderij, gelegen te Corbais in Waals-Brabant, ondersteunen. Dit stelt Claude Henricot in staat om de kennis en de machines te verwerven die hem in staat stellen de techniek van direct-zaaien onder plantenbedekking toe te passen. Deze techniek bestaat erin een gewas te zaaien waarbij de bodem zo veel mogelijk met rust gelaten wordt zodat het bodemleven niet verstoord wordt. Daarnaast zal Claude ook zijn initiatieven in de boslandbouw verder kunnen ontwikkelen. Tot slot geeft deze steun Claude Henricot de mogelijkheid om zijn opgebouwde kennis en ervaring met zo veel mogelijk mensen te kunnen delen en kan hij onder meer opleidingen aanbieden aan Belgische universiteiten en aan andere landbouwers die de omschakeling naar agroecologie willen maken.<\/p>\n<p>Als zoon van een landbouwer en al 20 jaar pionier op het gebied van agroecologie, zette Claude Henricot al talrijke experimenten op waarmee hij vandaag zijn 125 ha grond gebruikt met respect voor de bodem. De eerste stap in zijn omschakeling was het stoppen met ploegen met oog op het behoud van het ecosysteem dat zichzelf kan regenereren.
